LANGUAGE STANDARD POLICY
Diwan: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Arab requires every manuscript to meet a professional academic language standard. The requirements below apply to all submissions.
1. Quality of Language
Manuscripts must be written in accurate, clear, and coherent language, with correct grammar and syntax, appropriate diction, and a formal academic register. Terminology, spelling, and style must be applied consistently throughout the abstract, headings, main text, tables, figure captions, footnotes, and references.
2. Language Review
A manuscript with serious language deficiencies may be returned to the authors for improvement before it proceeds to peer review. For manuscripts that proceed, a language reviewer evaluates the manuscript and provides written notes after the substantive and methodological revisions have been approved. A manuscript is accepted only after the authors have addressed all language notes.
3. Professional Language Editing
Authors are recommended to use a professional academic language editing service provided by a qualified and certified editor, and to hold a language editing certificate for the article. The certificate confirms that an identifiable editor has edited the whole manuscript, including its tables and references, at the professional copyediting level.
