Vol. 17 No. 1 (2025)

This edition features scholarly articles in Arabic linguistics and literature that address significant and current issues. This edition's analysis of Palestinian struggle literature from semantic and stylistic viewpoints enhances research findings in postcolonial and eco-resistance studies. This study by Diwan: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Arab, aims to enhance humanities research in support of human rights initiatives. The exploration of Arabic sociological phenomena in prose and memes as creative linguistic expressions in new media reveals significant insights into social stratification, intersectionality, and representations of contemporary Arab women. These studies demonstrate Diwan’s contributions to academic discourse on sensitive topics, including gender, race, and ethnicity. Diwan is committed to addressing global issues by examining extreme thought in Saudi Arabia's modernisation context. This study offers a significant analysis of preserving ideology and religious identity within a context that systematically and structurally suppresses their expression.
