This first edition of Ukazh: Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa Bahasa dan Sastra Arab features scholarly articles in the fields of Arabic linguistics and literature that address important and current issues. This issue analyzes the impact of linguistic activities in cyberspace on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Additionally, this issue discusses linguistic activities that occurred during a tense situation in Indonesia, specifically the Kanjuruhan tragedy. The study reveals that this linguistic activity creates a new and critical view as a guide for the public in addressing current issues that are constructed in language. The literary study of the novel is relevant to the current situation as it highlights its true significance in relation to social reality. We conducted the research to enhance humanities studies in support of human rights initiatives. The exploration of Arab sociological phenomena in social media and the novel as an expression reveals significant insights into humanism, gender concerns, and the values of spiritual life amidst the latest dynamic space.
