Abstract

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the skills of users in the ITS Library in information literacy according to the Seven Pillars model. From the Seven Pillars model, the researcher only uses 5 (five) out of 7 (seven) aspects of information skills due to adjusting the material provided in information literacy activities at the ITS Library. Information literacy skills include the ability to seek information strategies (plan); browse or find information (gather); the ability to compare and evaluate information (evaluate); organize information professionally and ethically (manage); and synthesize, create new knowledge and present (present).
The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach with 100 respondents. Respondents in this study were users in the ITS Library, namely ITS academicians (students, lecturers, and staff). Primary data from the questionnaire were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques.
The results showed that the information literacy skills of users in the ITS Library after participating in information literacy activities were on an interval scale of 2.5 <= x <3.25 (High). The results of the average score from the plan aspect were 3.2; gather aspect is 3; the manage aspect is 2.8; the present aspect is 2,7 and the aspect of evaluate is 2,9.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis keterampilan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITS dalam berliterasi informasi menurut model Seven Pillars. Dari model literasi informasi Seven Pilar tersebut peneliti hanya menggunakan 5 (lima) dari 7 (tujuh) aspek keterampilan informasi dikarenakan menyesuaikan materi yang diberikan dalam kegiatan literasi informasi di Perpustakaan ITS. Keterampilan literasi informasi yang dimaksud meliputi kemampuan dalam strategi pencarian informasi (plan); menelusur atau mencari informasi (gather); kemampuan membandingkan dan mengevaluasi informasi (evaluate); mengatur informasi secara profesional dan etis (manage); dan mensintesis, menciptakan pengetahuan baru dan mempresentasikan (present).
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden 100 orang. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITS yakni sivitas akademika ITS yang terdiri dari mahasiswa, dosen, pengelola ruang baca, dan pustakawan. Data primer yang diperoleh dari kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketrampilan literasi informasi pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITS setelah mengikuti kegiatan literasi informasi berada pada skala interval 2,5<= x<3,25 (Tinggi). Adapun hasil skor rata-rata dari aspek plan adalah 3,2; aspek gather adalah 3; aspek manage adalah 2,8; aspek present adalah 2,7 dan aspek evaluate adalah 2,9.
