PENGARUH PUSAT SUMBER SEKOLAH KE ATAS MOTIVASI PELAJAR DI MALAYSIA

Abstract

Pusat Sumber Sekolah (PSS) adalah ruang pembelajaran fizikal dan digital sekolah di mana membaca, pertanyaan, penyelidikan, pemikiran, imaginasi, dan kreativiti menjadi pusat perjalanan maklumat ke pengetahuan pelajar kepada pertumbuhan peribadi, sosial, dan budaya mereka. Walau bagaimanapun, kurangnya kesedaran dan pengetahuan mengenai peranan PSS di Malaysia menyumbang kepada kekurangan motivasi pelajar untuk menggunakan SRC dan prestasi yang tidak memberansangkan di kalangan pelajar. Oleh itu, tujuan kertas ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh peranan PSS terhadap motivasi pelajar. Penyelidikan dilakukan di Lembah Klang, Malaysia dengan penekanan pada sekolah bertaraf lima bintang berdasarkan Smart School Qualification Standard (SSQS). Kajian kuantitatif dilakukan dengan soal selidik tinjauan yang diedarkan di kalangan pelajar Tingkatan 4. Sebanyak 339 responden digunakan dan dianalisis menggunakan perisian program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 25 untuk menguji kesan hipotesis dalam kertas ini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa hanya Ruang Pembelajaran dan Kepakaran Guru Media dan Perpustakaan (GPM) mempunyai pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap motivasi pelajar berdasarkan analisis regresi berganda. Anehnya, Sumber Maklumat tidak memberi kesan positif yang signifikan terhadap motivasi Akhir sekali beberapa strategi telah dicadangkan kepada pihak Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia dan pengurusan sekolah dalam mengembangkan strategi PSS dengan harapan dapat mengembangkan motivasi positif di kalangan pelajar dan meningkatkan prestasi mereka.
