The implementation of digital libraries has predominantly emphasized technological advancement and service efficiency, while ethical and value-based dimensions, particularly those rooted in Islamic teachings, have not been systematically integrated. This study aims to examine the management of digital libraries in higher education through the integration of Islamic values using a literature review approach. The research employed a qualitative method through an extensive review of books, scholarly journals, and relevant documents published within the last five to ten years. The findings indicate that Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), siddiq (truthfulness), adl (justice), and ihsan (excellence) possess strong relevance to digital library management, particularly in data governance, information services, collection development, copyright protection, and information ethics. The integration of these values contributes to the development of a more inclusive, accountable, and user-oriented digital library system. In addition to enhancing the quality of information services, the implementation of Islamic values also supports the formation of an ethical academic culture within higher education institutions. This study offers a conceptual contribution in the form of a model for integrating Islamic values into digital library management as an effort to establish sustainable and value-based information systems.
Irva Yunita, Reza Nawafella Alya Parangu, Muhammad Afif Amrullah, Rizka Pitri, Fitri Novianti Copyright (c) 2026 International Conference on Islamic Civilization & Culture https://rjfahuinib.org/index.php/icc/article/view/3146 Fri, 25 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Literasi informasi tradisi Ngatok Behou Sulung Pase masyarakat Hamparan Rawang, Kota Sungai Penuh, Jambi https://rjfahuinib.org/index.php/icc/article/view/3152
This research is motivated by the critical need to preserve local traditions amid modern developments affecting community life. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, with subjects selected via purposive sampling and analysed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the community's ability to access literacy—specifically in defining the tradition's needs—is categorised as good, as most residents are familiar with the tradition, albeit primarily on a general level rather than a deep understanding of its values and meanings. Evaluation literacy is also rated good, with community members actively assessing and reviewing acquired information. Furthermore, literacy usage is categorised as moderately good, as residents effectively communicate and disseminate information regarding the tradition. Ultimately, this study underscores that ancestral traditions must be continuously preserved to maintain cultural identity in modern times.
Digital transformation has revolutionized the paradigm of knowledge production and accessibility, including the treasures of Islamic civilization.
