Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly influenced hadith studies through the use of digital applications that facilitate the process of searching and verifying hadith sources. One of the applications widely utilized in Islamic studies is Maktabah Syamilah. However, the use of this application at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang has not been fully implemented in a systematic and methodological manner, indicating the need for a more structured model of digital hadith retrieval. This study aims to analyze the model of utilizing Maktabah Syamilah in digital hadith retrieval within the academic environment. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving students and lecturers who use Maktabah Syamilah. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three main models in the utilization of Maktabah Syamilah, namely the exploratory model for initial hadith searches, the verificative model for validating hadith sources, and the integrative model that combines digital technology with classical Islamic texts. The study shows that the use of Maktabah Syamilah can improve the efficiency, speed, and accuracy of hadith retrieval when supported by an adequate understanding of hadith methodology. This study concludes that the integration of digital technology and classical methods constitutes an ideal approach in the development of contemporary hadith studies.
