Idiom Arab Dilihat dari Makna Tekstual dan Kontekstual

Abstract

This paper aims to explain Arabic idioms in terms of
textual and contextual aspects. This library research
used the descriptive method, which is to describe the
text objectively. The stages in this research are data
collection, data analysis, interpretation of data, and a
conclusion that will be formulated from the focus of
research. This research found that textual analysis in
Arabic idioms can sometimes be linked to contextual
meanings and some are not. That shows that the
contextual meaning itself cannot completely ignore the
textual, lexical or literal meaning. In fact, the
connection between the meanings will make it easier
to memorize or understand the contextual meaning of
